 Acer is still looking to move up in the PC industry. Even as they have climbed to third place in global PC sales, they are still thinking of new ways to broaden their audience. Acer has partnered with the German automobile and motorcycle manufacturing giant, BMW.
Acer has chosen to go with BMW Design Works for their notorious design and engineering. After more than a year and a half, the team has developed the the new Gemstone design that will be used on the Acer Aspire 5920.
Other notebooks have featured car branding, such as Asus’ Lamborghini machine or even Acers own Ferrari-theme notebook. But the Gemstone design is much more low-key. It has the curvy black design, similar to the exterior of a BMW. As the notebook is opened, there is still a BMW feel with beige interior and a sleek design.
